Martin Luther King Day is a Federal Holiday in celebration of the Legendary Marin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday on January 15.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a Man of great sincerity and wisdom. A man of patience, love, and vision. Dr. King had the faith and vision that one day we would all be united and set free to be who we are. His vision stood long before and after hope was gone, yet we prevailed.
In piecing together our rich history and overcoming of great triumph, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., would be proud to see how far we have come and how far we are still willing to strive to go.
The breakthrough for victory did not subside when Segregation Laws were put to end. Victory is marching on after the breakthrough of a barrier. Racism still exists, and we must aware ourselves that we are not at the finish line yet.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., didn’t have a dream for us to get what we want (freedom) and stop fighting. His dream was to motivate us to continue fighting for what we deserve, we must continue marching on to keep faith and to discover the impossible, so we can overcome the impossible.
