The entire human race is biracial - no multiracial.
Even the most rabid KKK, or National Front fool is an amalgam of a range of genetic influences.
It's a pity we still find the need to define ourselves in this way.

There should be no divide between black history and U.S history. European immigrants were the primary power players throughout most of U.S history which is why they receive a disproportionate amount of attention, however, this does not make the achievements of the African American population any less significant. I'm a history major at the University of Nebraska Lincoln and have spent the last several months working on a project called "History Harvest". It is a university sponsored research program in which we travel to communities throughout the mid west and gather local history through photos and documents to be digitized for an online archive. I was recently in North Omaha, the third most impoverished black community in the nation. The community is home to the Malcolm X Museum as well as the Great Planes Black History Museum. Both have been allowed to fall into disrepair and have been denied public funding for several years. Within a day of sorting through these artifacts it became clear to me that this community had a story worth preserving. Having worked with Omaha residents it became clear they knew as little about the community and its history as I did and they had lived just across the highway their entire lives. It's this willfull ignorance that allows the racial divide to continue. Only when we have enough respect for other portions of the population to acknowledge that their history has something to contribute to the story of America will we see things improve.
