Lately there has been a big trend going on worldwide! “Going Natural”
Everywhere I turn, I see people of all races and ethnic backgrounds embracing their unique selves and unique hair. “Oh what a joy!”
As, I have recently blogged about not blow drying my hair; I am totally for everyone caring for their hair naturally. In the past there has been a major misconception of what is beautiful and exceptable in society.
“Who says that straight hair is more beautiful than defined curls; whether loose or kinky?”
“Why do you flat iron or perm your hair?”
“Is that all you think is beautiful?”
Embrace your natural hair, appreciate it. Women tend to fight their tresses instead of caring for their precious hair. It’s not worth damaging your hair for society.
Natural Hair does not mean hard work and tough, rough tussle with your locks. There are so many wonderful products available for naturally curly hair.
Carol’s Daughter is a wonderful product line for naturally curly hair. It allows you to nurture your precious curls and still look beautiful.

I love natural hair and I prefer little to no makeup on my sisters of all colors =)
I truly agree. We must advocate to others that true beauty is the natural essence we have within. There are too many beautiful people, that are insecure about little imperfections and try to change so much about themselves.
I have natural hair and my husband LOVES my hair. I recently died it to a honey blonde and it is beautiful. I get lots of comments on my hair and to me as long as your hair is healthy then it is okay.
I could do a research paper on why blacks relax their hair but to sum it up in a nutshell, it’s all Eurocentrism and what is beautiful in America. I wanted to get deep into my roots and going natural was a start.

Sometimes we get so caught up in society’s judgement and criticism.
It bothers me that some of us are ashamed of going natural. Its so beautiful and easier to maintain in my opinion. hahaha (:
I meant “dyed.” I am an English teacher and I hate typos. ERGGHH!
